I think I'm STILL full!

Mike & I had a great Thanksgiving! We spent alllll day with his family. Around 10:30am we headed out to Plano to eat early dinner at his Aunt & Uncle's house. On the way, Mike and I went back and forth in the car about things we are thankful for. It was so sweet to sit and really think about what we often take for granted everyday. The highlights of "Thanks" was wonderful friends, huge/loving family, God's love and direction, our amazing marriage, and steady jobs (knock on wood!). I know some of these things can be so cliche' but I really am thankful for each and every one of them and so many more! I am so blessed!
Well, back to Thanksgiving dinner...there were about 18-20 people there. It was so fun! There was SO much food, I couldn't believe it!! We had mimosas and appetizers all morning then around 1:30 we switched to wine and turkey, stuffing, tons of casseroles, mashed potatoes-n-gravy, corn, rolls, then of course all of the desserts! It was sooo good, I was so stuffed! After we ate, the guys watched the Cowboy's game and the girls cleaned up dinner and chit-chatted all afternon--so typical.
Then around 4pm we headed back this way to Heath to have ANOTHER dinner at Mike's dad's house. There were 11 people there (his 2 step sisters, their sigificant others and children, us and his parents)...I was still stuffed from "lunch" but ended up trying a bit of everything :o) It was great, on the way home I had to add that after another wonderful day with his family--I'm very thankful for my In-Laws! :o)

Today my boss gave me the day off for FREE, without having to use a vacation day! It was great to sleep in, make breakfast and put up all of the Christmas decorations. Mike had to go into work for a few hours but it wasn't so bad. Here is the decor that I put together and did all by myself (other than the lights on the house, of course) while the Christmas music on Sirius was blaring throughout the whole house! I still need a new tree skirt...I'm going shopping with my neighbor tomorrow in search for one. Also, Mike thinks the lit tree in the lawn looks puney--haha--I kinda agree. This is the 1st year for it, I got it at Garden Ridge on a super sale last year after Christmas. We might end up getting rid of it...

the deer heads move back and forth--love em!

the angel's wings move slowly together and apart--she's my fave!

Silver and red tree that matches all of the silver and red wrapping paper! :o) Also, thanks to my friend Amy for making the tree-topper bow! Love it!

Extended Weekend!

This weekend Mike and I went to Nebraska to go to my younger step-sister's wedding, celebrate birthdays and to visit Mike's family (it's so convenient that both of our families live within 30 minutes of each other!!) We took off work Friday, Monday & Tuesday...it felt great to be away from work--especially with all of the drama I heard that is going on in my office! Blah!
Kinsey's wedding was very sweet. My brother and SIL played guitar and sang SO I got to hold their sweet baby girl, Austyn the whole time!!! She was so good!
For Kinsey & my birthdays my step mom was going to take us to see Celine Dion in concert...BUT unfortunately she canceled the concert due to a throat illness or something. :o( So we all went to Herrah's and gambeled and had a nice dinner. It was fun!! We arrived back in town today and had the worst experience with American Airlines. Basically in a nutshell we had to wait about 5 hours before we got on the plane and our luggage was on the previous plane. So, in DFW we had to take multiple trams to get to our luggage and low and behold my luggage is LOST (or stolen)!! We had to file a claim and this took FOR-everrrr! Of course I packed my WHOLE LIFE in this 49-pound bag so I had to go to target to pick up a toothbrush, face lotion, shampoo, brush...etc. UGH! Well, of course my camera is in my luggage so I only have limited photos to post from other cameras. Overall the weekend was great!! Back to work tomorrow AND my lovely friend is having her sweet baby girl tomorrow!!! YAY! I can't wait for the details and pics!!! I'll be praying for her! :o)

Michael

Have I told you recently that my husband is so amazing!?!?! This weekend was the best! Sometimes in the moments of living life everyday sometimes I forget to realize how lucky I am to have such a wonderful husband. He made a delicious filet/mashed potatoes/wine meal for my b-day on Sunday night. He bought me a beautiful arrangement of flowers, 2 of my favorite books and a beautiful necklace that I've had my eyes on! I actually spotted the necklace in Vegas when we were there for our anniversary back in July--and low & behold he bought it while we were there and has saved it to give me for my b-day! How Perfect!?! My birthday was on Monday--and we were both off work. Mike took me out for a delish Sushi lunch (my favorite)! I had a dentist appointment that afternoon and left with a totally numb mouth. Blah! That evening it rained all night long and we stayed up late talking and really just doing nothing. It was perfect! Ahhh, I love being in love!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TERS!!!

Today is my friends birthday! How fun! I hope she has a great, super, fantastic, exciting, relaxing, fun-filled birthday! :o)

This weekend was great--we ran out of Halloween candy again this year. I got SOOO much too! I think I need to stop handing out huge handfuls--but it makes the kids so happy! :oD
We turned our lights out at 8:15 (when we ran out of candy) and went to Chili's for dinner. mmm!
Saturday I slept in and ran some errands--Hobbs Lobbs, Michaels...the usual. My parents came home from California and they came to take us out for dinner (Saltgrass Steakhouse, MMMM) and they also picked up Hunter. :o(
Today we went to work out and I'm on my way to the grocer & Target. FUN! That's all for now!
